2 losses in 3 games!

What the hell is happening here? Did the guy responsible for washing the Celtic's superhero capes take a few days off? I mean really — the Bobcats and the Wizards? I have included some charts here, and what they will show is that the Celts looked good on paper in these games. What they won't show is them losing it in the 4th quarter. Seriously guys? The whole concept behind this website is that the Celts are supposed to be infallible and thus can add me to their roster. This will obviously not happen if you guys keep losing. For fuck's sake! I tell ya, if you don't get back on track against those Wizards tonight, I might have to go out and break Caron Butler's leg myself.

"aww look at the baby."

Shortly after the Celtics inked KG to his big deal, naysayers quickly began filling up the web with their worries about the Celtics title hopes. "They have no bench." "Rondo's too inexperienced and raw to give them the kind of PG play they need." "They can't hold up against the likes of the Pistons." Well, for those naysayers out there who didn't see last Saturday’s game against the Bad Boys of Detroit it was quite a treat. The Celtics came out ready to play. Rondo gave them 25 minutes of play that didn’t compare with Billup's line, but also didn't need to. Eddie House and Tony Allen helped out on the glass against Detroit's many bigs. And last but not least, came little Glenn. The man they call "Big Baby," erupted for 20 points, 16 of which came in the 4th quarter and it was the first time this season someone other than the Big 3 led the team in scoring. The Celtics proved they could not only hang with the Pistons, they could beat them on the road. As Doc said afterward, "Our players needed this,'' Rivers said. "We needed to return the favor.'' Speaking of Doc, I've received no emails, phone calls and certainly no invitations. Not even to the practice facility. I tell ya Doc, I could probably make the Knicks right now and it’d be a lot shorter commute but I'm holding out for you.

kg is rocket fuel
And no, that's not how Paul got all the way up there. However, just like KG's infamous Addidas commercial, to the tune of "He's got the whole world in his hands," the big ticket carried the rest of the squad to a win last night. Not much bench play, further proof there's room for me to ride the pine. The Rockets have been one of the biggest disappointments this year and a big 1st quarter from the Celtics didn't help their confidence. They made an admirable attempt in the second half but it wasn't enough. And I'd just like to say if Scott Pollard another lanky, eccentric, native Washingtonian can get a few minutes, why can't I. I keep telling ya Doc, I can contribute.

the truth
Other than Paul's nickname, the truth is the rest of the NBA is going to be seeing a lot of green in 2008. They will be on ESPN constantly, Oprah (mark my words), hell by the end of the year they'll be starring in instructional videos on how to trade for a dynasty. The point is we've just rung in the New Year and the Celtic's are returning from their small break to start ringing heads again. One of my inside sources told me Kevin, Ray and Paul got together on New year's Eve just to practice drinking champagne with each other. I tell ya, if these guys aren't consummate professionals.

the big three

They all smiled so big. After years of cross-country losing and scattered playoff appearences, these three men realized they were now on a mission from God himself. God is apparently living or at least vacationing in New England now and is definitely a sports fan (Just you wait on the Bruins). All holding their new jersey's, except for Paul Pierece who just pulled his out of the dryer. They look like little kids on Christmas, only better because Christmas is just one day and kicking the shit out of the rest of the NBA takes almost 9 monthes. I tell you, these guys have the life.
